More than twenty homesteads in Eldoret South Constituency in Wareng District are jigger infested. We visited some of the homes in the company of the municipal and MTRH health officials.

The infestation of jiggers in the entire Langas estate has paralyzed the movement of residents. The victim’s feet and fingers have been disfigured. Speaking at Kambi Nguruwe Estate in Langas, where more than 30 residents turned up for treatments at the weekend, Mr. Kirwa who is the public health officer working with the MTRH echoed SAYARE’s move to support the vulnerable in the community terming it as well thought move. He advised the residents to improve their cleanliness in order to eradicate other diseases.
